Despite the excessive length, this was a very fun and easy-to-watch match. EEEE is like the last holdover from the style of indie wrestling that dominated the 2009-2013 era. It was a style that basically made things very generic, impersonal, and artificially long. These are features of pro wrestling that I enjoy less and less as I get older.
EEEE though has had a long history of executing these kinds of matches in a manner that is still fun. It’s a real credit to him, because the margin of error is incredibly small and the payoff is nothing to really get too excited about. EEEE won via busaiku knee. (***)
