The first half of this match was really fun and intriguing. It was driven by the strong personalities and high levels of charisma in the ring. There was also just a spring in everyone’s step and a general sharpness to the work. You could not help but be sucked in by what was transpiring in front of you.
The second half of the match shifted to a less appealing tone. It just sort of felt like non-stop action that seemed to grow progressively meaningless. It did not wholly ruin the match, but it really bumped it down from the high level trajectory that it was on. Io eventually put away Mayu with a moonsault. (***)
