This was for Zack’s RPW British Heavyweight Championship.
After Zack defeated Shibata cleanly about six months earlier, Shibata not got a title shot (wrestling). Regardless of that lack of quality control, these two had themselves a damn fine bout that seemed pretty clearly to be the best in their trilogy of bouts.
They predictably took their time in the early stages. Zack was in control for a bit. He was a tad more vicious than usual. Shibata kept fighting back.
The action was incredibly physical and paced moderately well. The best part of it though was how well they progressively upped the tension until Shibata finally won cleanly via PK. (***1/4)
