Matt Sydal vs. Big Damo from RPW 2016

This contest was a case of smart action and great pacing carrying the day to make a very enjoyable and successful match. The early feeling-out process did not feel obligatory at all. Instead, they were clearly looking for an opening, wary of making a mistake, and trying to find the best way to deal with the size differential.

Damo eventually caught Sydal with a nice forearm to cut him off. Sydal progressively fought back more and more until it was clear he had a chance to win. He eventually managed to connect on the SSP to secure the victory. It was simple storytelling but done in a compelling fashion with just enough flourish to make it stand out. GOOD stuff. (***1/2)
