This was for Thunder Rock’s Goddesses of Stardom Championship.
This was the tale of two matches. The first match was one of the most intriguing and compelling starts to a tag match possible. The second match was a back-and-forth sequence that seemed absolutely endless.
It was such a shame too because the first set up what could have been one of the defining matches of 2016. Instead, we got what played out like a cliche contest where the wrestlers just went long because it’s conventionally considered a key aspect of a great wrestling match. Oh well. (**1/2)
