Daisuke Sekimoto vs. Masato Tanaka from Zero1 2015

While this got a little too “Let’s prove how tough we are!” for my tastes, there was a lot of fun action here with a good macro story to prevent it from being too ridiculous. Sekimoto dominated Tanaka for most of the match and did so in an engaging manner. He first cut him off with an apron move. Tanaka fought back, and Sekimoto busted out a tope suicida. Tanaka fought back again, and Sekimoto then busted out a dropkick. After that, Tanaka kept fighting and fighting until they got into a back-and-forth sequence. Sekimoto ended up enduring that and winning the match cleanly with a bridging German. Solid stuff. (***)
