They paid homage to the feeling out process for a while. Sabre was sporadically targeting the left arm and then began to focus on it. That did not last long though, as Gargano managed to cut him off. Well, I guess they’re just going to trade control the whole time because Sabre came right back a minute or two later. Gargano then got control after a tope suicida. Sabre came back with a cross armbreaker, but Gargano survived. He got it two more times, but Gargano survived each attempt. Sabre blocked the slingshot spear and then survived the Gargano Escape. Gargano hit the Lawn Dart and kneeling superkick. Sabre reversed the Hurts Donut into a cross armbreaker. Gargano reversed that though into the Hurts Donut into a nearfall. Sabre came back with two dragon suplexes and then a Penalty Kick: 1….2…3!a
I enjoyed this match on a certain level, but I found it a little underwhelming at the same time. The constant back and forth nature of the match got old after a while. The work Sabre did on the left arm of Gargano was holding the match together, but there was no payoff to it. On the bright side, there were a number of cool sequences, and they kept the crowd engaged the whole time. This wasn’t bad, but it’s not something I found especially memorable.
