This was for Bryan’s ROH World Championship.
This was perfectly fine and probably the best overall Bryan/Roddy ROH World Championship match. After their previous matches were either bogged down in bullshit or fell victim to the “longer matches are better matches” fallacy, it was nice to see this one avoid both of those issues.
It was still just sort of there though. They still needed to turn it up a bit far sooner and far harder, but it will do as a passable contest given how many of Bryan’s defenses were just a total bore. (**3/4)
