This was for Joe’s ROH World Championship.
The story here was that an already b-defense was lowered even more because Joe was distracted from the night before when Homicide threw a fireball in his face. As a result, this match did not have much going for it.
There was not a great sense of urgency. The crowd did not buy Stryker as a potential winner. The intensity and physicality picked up in the final minutes, but it was far too far too late. Joe won cleanly via triangle. (**1/4)
