American Dragon vs. Low Ki from Ring of Honor 2002

This was the final match in a one-night round robin challenge tournament. Ken Shamrock was the special guest referee.

Despite being a bit too long for sure, this was an excellent battle. Bryan and Ki in their early years were basically the masters of working in a manner that conveyed that they were always trying to win the match (especially when they were in there together).

Here, they were working an uber-competitive grappling match for upwards of thirty minutes. They were working very physically and always seemed to be on the verge of going in for the kill. It was fantastic stuff.

They started to lose momentum at one point mind you. They did get back on track in plenty of time before the finish to fully recover though. Bryan won via Cattle Mutilation. (****1/4)
